New transatlantic future soul duo Cosmic Link explore existential paradoxes and declarations of personal spiritual truths on their six track debut EP 'Metaphysical',set for release on 21st October 2022.
Cosmic Link consists of Florida based Jay Myztroh, a professional singer-song writer and university trained composer/conductor, and Bristol based producer Ben Dubuisson, best known for the Hundred Strong project. Introduced by mutual artist friends, the catalyst for their collaboration was the 2017 album 'Black Diamonds' byJay's previous project Stono Echo, produced by the late great Paten Locke. Over the course of a few years they began remotely exchanging music and lyrics, building a catalogue of finished tracks that grew into this EP.
During this time, Myztroh was also completing his Masters degree in choral conducting that focused on discovering and promoting compositions from regions and members of the African Diaspora. Myztroh’s extensive background in music education and choral conducting continues to inspire him to promote a lesser known African Diaspora choral canon. From metaphysical concepts to masterworks, all Myztroh’s projects either explore or promote awareness.
The EP's title track speaks to the impact that the individual has on this ever-present all encompassing cosmos. Jay Myztroh explains"The way you live ("Whatchu hear, Whatchu know, Whatchu think, Whatchu sow") shapes the experience you have in life.Our lives are filled with decisions and this song highlights our responsibility for our own lives".
'Metaphysical' EP is set to be released on 12" vinyl and digital through High NoonMusic on 21st October 2022. Cosmic Link will return with a full album release in2023.
